1955 : Born in St Germain en Laye into a family of musicians and singers

1964 : Starts learning classical piano under the leadership of Didier Hussenot

1970 : St Germain en Laye Conservatoire in Professor Henriot's class

1971 : Jean-Pierre attends a Memphis Slim concert, a fabulous black American singer and pianist in St Germain en Laye. That makes up his mind to play this profoundly moving music !

1972 - 1976 : He studies at the Paris Hotel & Catering School. During this period, by listening to records, Jean-Pierre discovers the grand masters of Blues and Boogie Woogie piano : Jimmy Yancey, Albert Ammons, ..

1976 - 1983 : Management inspector in the large-scale catering group Score, then head of training at Sopad-Nestlé. He faithfully frequents "Le Cambridge", a jazz pub in Paris, 17th arrondissement, where he has a highly significant meeting with Jean-Paul Amouroux.

1984 : With his brother, Jean-Pierre opens the restaurant and jazz club "La Table d'Harmonie" in the 5th arrondissement of Paris.

1986 : Business success, promotion in specialist press : Jean-Pierre had the privilege of inviting twice a week to his jazz club, between 1985 and 1990, the missing pianist François Rilhac, also a master of Stride piano and Swing.

1987 : He starts to play as a duet with Enzo Mucci and later takes on the drummer, Gerard Marmet, making up a team that lasts several years.

1990 : First version of a unique festival in France : "Les nuits Jazz et Boogie Piano" to which he invites the best pianists in the world. The 14th version was in 2002 for an audience of 1,500.

He decides to become a professional and leaves for Nashville (Tennessee USA). Since 1990, Jean-Pierre has performed every year in over 120 concerts, events, musical shows, festivals and clubs. The versatility of his formulae goes from playing the piano solo, in a duet, a trio, to the band of 7 musicians for a fantastic Orchestral Boogie Woogie. He's now aiming to further his carreer in Japan where traditional jazz is very much appreciated together with the French charm and Dandy Touch !
